Multitudes, hope, and melancholy: These are the words that define Matt Holubowski and his music. A self-taught singer-songwriter from Hudson, he transforms his obsessions, contradictions, and periods of doubt into a compelling musical style rooted in his own journey. The recipient of a Gold Record for Solitudes and winner of a Félix Award for Flowers on a Molten Lawn, Holubowski has carved a name for himself within the Quebec acoustic folk scene. Curious and ever-changing, he turns uncertainty into a creative force and is currently preparing to release a new album titled Inside The Merry Loop. Matt Holubowski describes himself as a “hopeful melancholic” and remains profoundly attached to both simplicity and hope in the face of sorrow. The inner tensions within him are reflected in his music, which serves as a bridge between the many versions of himself.
